We have an unorganized assortment of antique tools and historic items in the downstairs of the Town Office building. A library recently donated some eloquent glass display cabinets, and we have decided to enhance them in a formal Museum area. We have plenty of objects to sort through and display by topic, so kids, visitors, students, can visit and learn something new…about something old.
WE ARE INVITING THE PUBLIC TO A “MUSEUM CREATION DAY”. Anyone who shows up can help sort objects for display, create posters or display labels, or even use artistic creativity to create interesting displays. The sky is the limit!
The volunteer creation day is scheduled for: Sunday, DECEMBER 18th, 2022 at 10am-2pm. Location: Downstairs of Town Office (Park behind Office bldg.)
Watch our progress according to our shared vision for this year, and we will update for 2023 soon..
We will be adding content in the coming months. If there are any major errors or issues with the webpages, please contact Torrey Crossman.
We are a community-based organization of volunteers focused on helping record and share our history. We also aim to educate multiple generations and provide a resource for students, families, and individuals.
We will be meeting this winter to discuss 2023 plans for the future and our goals.
Would you like to volunteer with research or donate artifacts? Let us know! We are always looking for volunteers to help us make this society useful and educational.
Your donations will go a long way to pay for things such as this website service, museum upgrades, scanning software, and potential educational trips/programs for the Maple Run district.
